The importance of being responsible...

          You made a choice when you did what you did... It's time to take responsibility for your actions.... I did... I have never blamed anyone but myself for the wrongs I have done or for the wrong choices I have made... It's too easy to make excuses... It's actually kind of cowardly if you think about it...

          Being responsible is not only facing a choice but it brings closure... I was given five long years to man up to the choices I made... I was one of millions who faced bad choices and in the depths of the coldest, hardest most callous parts of this country, I made a conscious decision to not repeat any of them again.... Not because I was scared or in a terrifying place but because I was done with life in the fast lane... However easy, rewarding or beneficial it could be because in the end, it was plain old deceit...

          I've added things to my life to make me more aware of the choices I make... The most obvious... My kids... Life is chess and if you set yourself up for success you will be successful... I am surrounding myself with the unconditional love and admiration of my kids to whom I can do no wrong so, I will do no wrong... Only right... Because I will be responsible... Do the opposite and obviously the obvious will occur...
